El Museu del Vi is one of the most popular Girona places. If you want to check up come to Girona and just ask where it is. You will not have any problem to find us. But first it will be better if we start explaining a little the history of the place and its members. Then you will understand why of our popularity.

El Museu del Vi in its beginnings was an in called Can Garganta and a barber's shop. Later was called with the name that is used nowadays, El Museu del Vi but known El Museu for everybody because is shorter. In its beginnings it was a real wine museum with a permanent wine exposition. The current staff started on 1977 renting the bar and some years after they bought it. Since they managed continually has been an evolution to nowadays. Not always has been doing the same task. The activities have been focused depending of the people. El Museu del Vi has been reformed these years to improve its image and to make it bigger.

Current staff started working at Sant Feliu de Guíxols in a little bar called Bar Limón at Girona street number 100. Nowadays this place is a house parking. While they worked there at winter, they worked at summer in Platja d'Aro too. They rented some hotel restaurants like Beach Palace , Sun Tower ones. Later, they wanted and stable work during the year and they travel to the city.

At the beginning the work with soldiers because near where the military casern. The most sold product was coffees and "vino de misa" (sweet wine). Later, with the disappearing of the military casern to build the university the activity changed to attract new people. Then they imported the beach model to the city creating a pub where the people came with friends before going to disco. Big popularity was acquired because they were few places dedicated to this task in the city. People used to go to El Museu, La Fusta and Accés (other zone pubs). El Museu became a reference. Everybody of Girona and province had drunk in our site that days. El Museu always cocked typical zone food but was no popular because of the big boom of the other activities of the site. Nowadays, there are a lot of pubs in Girona so people have been distributed and the night activity has decrease a lot. Then the restaurant activity was focused. Our task has increase the restaurant activity at the zone. At the beginning only Angelot and Bistrot vie with us. Now there are more than eight restaurants. A lot of the people who came to drink in the past now they come with their families. They like remembering with us inerasable experiences.

El Museu del Vi has a big terrace. At summer is the better time to enjoy it at all, at night too. If you enter you will find a big bar of wood full of bottles and glasses. At right you will find a few tables to drink something. In front of you can see two floors. At lowest floor there are two restaurant rooms but the can be converted to bar if needed. These rooms have 36 and 22 chairs but more people can be placed. At the upper floor we have 44 chairs. This floor is a bar zone but can be converted to a restaurant one if needed. There are televisions everywhere. A lot of people come to see football filling the entire place. Due to its location in the city is an ideal place for group lunches or dinners. Usually young people come to eat but nowadays a lot of people of Spain and from other countries come to eat to our restaurant while they visit our beautiful city.
